25 Minute Conditioning AMRAP Workout
What the heck is an "AMRAP" I hear you say. AMRAP means "as many reps as possible" and is a great way to test your conditioning, endurance and of course your mental toughness into your workouts.
The acronym AMRAP sounds a little on the weird side to begin with, however, it's quite a simple concept and can really spice up your workout routine. Not only does is mean "as many reps as possible", It can also mean "as many rounds as possible".
So how does it all work: For this 25 minute Conditioning AMRAP workout you have a certain number of reps of each exercise to complete before moving on to the next. Once you have completed all the exercises you go back to the start and repeat the process. That will count as one round.
The aim of an AMRAP is to perform as many rounds as possible in the given time. Between each round you are able to take little break but you should keep them short and sweet since this a timed event.
Remember the aim of this is intensity.
Complete as many rounds as possible in 25 minutes of the following:
10 Press Ups
10 Sit Ups
15 Body Weight Squats
8 Step Ups
Same as above
Repeat each round as many times as you can in the allocated 25 minute time slot.
Once completed post the of rounds you completed to the comments below.
For each movement, pick loads that are heavy but allow you to easily complete 3-4 reps when fresh. As fatigue sets in and the reps increase, break each movement into smaller sets so you can maintain solid mechanics.
10 Press Ups
10 Weighted Sit Ups
15 Weighted Squats
8 Weighted Step Ups
