Welcome to the final awards ceremony of 2016. In many cases 2016 has been a year to forget but for the previous winners of this amazing award it's been a year of achievements and success. Keep up the great work and here's to an amazing 2017.
Now there are awards, and then there's the Calumn Duthie Personal Training EFF award: The Oscar of the fitness world. This award goes to the client who I think has worked their butt of this month, come into sessions with the can do attitude and never gives up when the sessions got tough.
The votes have been cast, counted and re-counted for this highly acclaimed, very sexy, and desirable #EFF award.

The Award Winner
This month the EFF Award goes to Paul for his hard work, dedication and recognition for his incredible journey he has been on. In the past 6 months Paul has lost an unbelievable 50% Body Fat. A phenomenal achievement and one that many a person reading this can also achieve with hard work, commitment and the right guidance.
A little About Paul:
The first minute I met Paul I instantly knew that we were going to hit it off. Bright, great sense of humour and with a get up and go attitude, Paul is a super person to work with!
I have been seeing Paul twice a week for a good few months now and every morning at 7am he comes into the sessions with a cracking cheeser on his face raring to go. I cannot emphasis how amazing this feels as a personal trainer to see one you clients come through the door smiling and looking forward to their session.
Over the past year or so Paul has had his ups and downs with his health but this hasn't stopped him dedicating himself to his gym programme. If anything I feel it has spurred him on to achieve more not only in the gym but outside the gym too.
We all have an idea in our head in what we want to achieve in the gym and what we perceive as optimal fitness. Naturally we want to better ourselves and make our goals become a reality quicker than is possible. Sometimes I wish there was a magic wand that after 3 months my clients goals would be achieved. This seems to be what people want to happen and I'm not sure where this magic 3 month period to gain “optimal fitness” has come from. For some reason if people start to see a personal trainer will end up looking like Cristiano Ronaldo in that time frame it’s just not possible from a the general population to achieve. You have to focus one goal at a time and not get sidetracked from that goal until it has been reached. In Paul's case he trusted the process he was on and look at the results he got, I mean a 50% decrease in body fat is bloody amazing. Through his own hard work he smashed his goals and is now looking to 2017 to achieve even more and I am 100% there for him every step of the way.
Paul's attitude and willingness to work hard in sessions makes him a real pleasure to coach.
