About The Block
The Outdoor Fitness Class is fun, social and challenging. It's a great way to explore the city and allows you to get one step closer to your fitness goals. Whether you have signed up to a 10k, half marathon, Tough Mudder or anything that is going to challenge your fitness I can assure you that this class will help you prepare for it. During the class you will be working with partners and as teams going through a series of circuits, interval training complimented with strength and resistance exercises for a whole body blast.

Time: 18:20 for a Sharp 18:30 start
Cost: £8 per class (drop in), £30 for 4 classes, £70 for 10 classes

The Benefits Of Outdoor Fitness
Exercising in general has an amazing effect on us. After 10 minutes of exercising be it going for a walk, jogging or warming up for a gym sessions a chemical called endorphins is released. This chemical is know as the body's natural anti depressant and will there for make you feel a million time better after your form of exercise than you did before you started.
No only will exercise increase your mood it will also get you outside. We spend a lot of our time sitting inside working away. Roughly 96hrs a week is spent indoors, your forty hour a week job and hopefully your eight hours sleep a night. That's a a major chunk of the 168 hours you have available in any given week.
Exercising outside in the spring and summer will help our body's absorb vital vitamin D. The wave lengths from the sun increase and there for we can top up our vitamin D before winter months come rolling in. Vitamin D is know as the happy vitamin. Getting your daily fix of vitamin D helps improve your immune system and bone health. With the majority of people in the UK deficient in vitamin D there has never been a better opportunity to make sure you are not one of them by joining in this new block.
Whilst there are obvious benefits of exercising outside there are also hidden benefits that your can't feel or see working but trust me they are. Even going for a brisk walk you will help improve circulation, your energy levels will improve along with your sleep, thus making you sleep for longer more achievable.
