I have been helping my clients for some time to achieve their fitness goals. Some people find 1:1 personal training the best for them, while others prefer working out as part of a larger group, so that's what I did for years.
Recently I realised that there's an area where the best of both worlds can be combined helping those who partake achieve their fitness goals the most efficient way possible. After some testing, I have launched my small group training services, and in this blog, I will discuss the 8 benefits of it for clients.
1. You Stay Motivated Throughout the Session
We all have a little competitiveness in us. Even many of my clients who always thought they would never be interested in trying to be better than the person working next to them reported that just the fact that they weren't n it alone helped them push a little further.
2. You Instantly Become Part of a Tribe
1:1 personal training allows sharp focus while online training is best for those who like to train alone in their zone. However, most people I trained in the past wanted to feel that they are not on that journey alone, others are going through the same process and feel that camaraderie that helps troops go above and beyond on a battlefield.
As I mentioned in the intro, small group training is the best of both worlds. While you get personal attention from your trainer to stay focused and committed to your goals, it costs you less than a 1:1 session.
4. Results Will Come Faster
If you add more focus and more motivation from peers as well as from your personal trainer together, you get a very potent cocktail for accelerated results compared to having only one or the other.
5. Meet Like-Minded People
Often it's hard to break out of your old habits because your close circle; family and friends don't understand what you are trying to achieve, why you feel the need of doing it and thus, unfortunately, they are not as supportive as they would like to be. Working alongside others on the same path, who have empathy for your ups and downs and can help you stay on track is essential to remain consistent and keep working hard even when you don't feel like doing it.
6. More Sessions per Week
I already touched base on how budget-friendly small group training is. If you have a set budget for achieving your weight loss goals, you get more sessions for your bucks compared to exercising with me 1:1.
7. Flexible Session Times
One of the most significant benefits of small group personal training. You can pick and choose flexibly which session times you can make each week, so long there are places available. You don't need to feel you are letting your trainer down if you need to make a change.
8. Community Events
Whether that's a race you take on as a team, organising a charity event for a cause you all care about or simply heading out for celebrations, once you are part of a community, you can enjoy each other's company outside of sessions.
There you have it, 8 amazing benefits of exercising in a small group setting may just be what you need to start working towards your desired body composition goals finally. If you'd like a commitment-free chat to assess your situation, feel free to get in touch!
