Energy is everything and it takes forms in different patterns, your fitness programme being one of them. Whenever you commit to something you invest energy in it and yourself, you feel good about doing whatever feels good for you, as you have an exalted vision of yourself you want to get to and following that vision feels positive.
If we are focused on our vision for the future, it may feel terrible because we realise how far we might be from it, that's ok, small and slow solutions can get us there somehow. First we can accept where we are by taking a look at our lives and the realities we are living in and choose what things instead will help us line up with that vision we have and why it is important to you. And so, the thoughts that we do not agree with, or do not serve our vision can be placed elsewhere.
To have a successful fitness programme, take a moment to think about what it would be like to have a great relationship with that programme, to really fall in love with it. You can do this as a meditation, observing from the patterns of your life to the details and really see your work out happening, your results, how you feel and be present with that feeling. Make this as clear as a visualisation can be by imagining the place, the people, and the sensations you feel around them.
With a clear vision come back to the here and now, and see what it is you need to do to make it happen. It comes down to your wishes and what you and your people can apply with a common vision.
To establish a common mindset I'm going to share a conflict resolution technique I learned recently called LARA method. It is to listen to the core of what's being said. To Affirm or Acknowledge the connection found, to Respond to what's being raised and then to Add information to the discussion, the idea being to create a shared meaning for the cause.
So the ultimate questions are, what is your mind set on?
What are your wants and needs?
How do you feel about sharing what's on your mind?
When you dive into the collective consciousness of what it means to be fit, you will be more aware and know what you can line up with.
Choice is also everything, choose to be happy!
